BCI was founded in 1991 by its company president, Joe Blackstone, and the company headquarters are in Los Angeles, California. Since 1991, BCI has grown from several employees to over many hundreds of employees operating at locations across the United States including Alaska and Hawaii.

The foundation of our success starts in our corporate office where our executive team oversees the daily operations of all corporate initiatives and field activities. The corporate office consists of strong teams in the areas of Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll and Business Development. Additionally, BCI prides itself on strong field management and a diverse and competent workforce to perform its service contracts.

Our start as a company was in food services with the Department of Defense.

Today, BCI serves over 60,000 meals daily in support of the Department of Defense (Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines), Homeland Security (U.S. Coast Guard), commercial customers and retail food service operations. BCI has been recognized for multiple food service excellence awards including the prestigious Ney Award for the Navy (best dining facility in the Navy or Coast Guard), the Philip A. Connelly Award for the Army (best dining facility in the Army) and the LeMay Award for the Air Force (best customer service in the Air Force).

BCI’s janitorial services are spearheaded by our commitment to green cleaning and our dedication to green clean practices. We provide janitorial cleaning for over 7 million square feet of space in office locations, manufacturing plants, warehouses, gymnasiums, school districts, high rise facilities and clean rooms for our customers.

BCI led the industry by being one of the first West Coast companies to be Green Clean certified and we continue to stay committed to green clean practices.

In 2006, BCI entered the world of facility maintenance with a prime contract with the Department of the Navy and the Marine Corps to provide integrated facility support and maintenance services at locations in California, Arizona and Nevada.
